Simon Muchardt

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the LEDA laboratory at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL and at the Department of Economics of the University of Copenhagen under a joint agreement. I am writing my thesis under the supervision of Gabrielle Fack and Niels Johannesen.

My research interests are in public economics, and the economics of innovation and science. My Ph.D. dissertation aims to study the determinants and economic consequences of corporate philanthropy.

I visited UC Berkeley in Fall 2025, hosted by Matilde Bombardini.
